St Andrew's enjoy EL trip

St Andrew’s College made a fantastic start and soon scored a well worked try through No.8 Robert Quarmby. St Andrew’s had dominance in the set pieces throughout the match and this dominance resulted in the second try to Angus Cook after the College scrum managed to hook a tight head. The rest of the half saw the St Andrew’s team be their own worst enemy as poor discipline and careless errors allowed Cambridge back into the contest. At half time the scores were locked at 14 all.

The second half saw St Andrew’s College regain their composure and produce some more constructive rugby as they began to convert their obvious dominance into points more consistently. This saw Byron Sharwood and Matt More score before Tim Bloem sealed the game with a blistering 70m run up the touchline.

In the end St Andrew’s College ran out 35-14 victors but the team will not be satisfied with their performance and will be looking to improve on this showing next weekend.
