St Johns captain - Dylan Testa
Dylan Testa will be looking to pull the strings for St Johns in their FNB Classic Clash against Parktown on Saturday.
The livewire scrumhalf will take charge of a relatively inexperienced St Johns side, which features just five players from last year's team.
Testa regards captaining the first team at St Johns as the highlight of his rugby career so far, and is determined to lead by examples against their rivals on Saturday.
It has been something of an up and down season for St Johns, but Testa is confident that they have what it takes to beat Parktown.
"In my opinion we have had a successful season, we had a shaky start to the season but after our first game the team settled and we began to play exciting rugby.
"The team we are feilding on Saturday is a young team. We have five players that played in the first team last year, including myself and our Vice Captain, while 10 of the boys are new players.
"Our No.8 and loosehead prop are both injured and will not be playing, however the boys that have replaced them are exceptionally talented and have slotted into their positions and the team with ease," he explained.
Testa was part of the side that went down to Parktown last year, so he is intent to get revenge this weekend.
"St John’s College and Parktown has always been a tough rivalry with parktown winning last year's encounter.
"We are expecting a very physical game as well as a fast paced game. Parktown always have a strong first team and so we are expecting an exciting game of rugby.
"We owe them from last year. They’re coming to our field, so we control the game. Our field, our structure, our game,"he added.
