St John's, Day 2
St Charles led St Benedict's 7-3 at half-time in the Battle of Saints at St John's Easter Tournament on Holy Saturday but in the end the Bedfordview side beat the Pietermaritzburg side 24-14, scoring three tries to two.
In the second match of the day, Viadana club from Northern Italy, smashed by Paul Roos on Thursday, beat the Golden Lions XV 27-19.
The third match of the day was a massive clash between Garsfontein and Nelspruit, Garsies vs Nellies. Garsies got an early lead but then Nellies came back to 10-all and at half-time led 13-10. The second half belonged to Nellies who scored three tries to one in the match.
Hosts St John's suffered their second defeat when Hilton of the KwaZulu-Natal Midlands beast them 27-5 after being down 10-5 at the break. Hilton wing Darren McGhee scored a hat-trick of tries.

The next match was a clash of giants – Paarl Boys' High against Monument. Boys' High seemed to be running away with it, scoring three tries in the first half to lead 25-3 at the break. But the Witbulle are not push-overs and came back to enjoy 72% of possession in the half and score three tries of their own.
Paul Roos, who had swamped Viadana on Day 1, did not at all have it their own way against Jeppe. They won 14-5 after leading 8-0 at half time. Each side scored one try.
