St Johns, Day 2

St John's Holy Saturday fixtures started with  a lively performance from Klein Nederburg, the team from Paarl which is Chester Williams's old school.

This was followed by a convincing win for St Charles of Pietermaritzburg over the team from Zimbabwe.

St John's report:

We had a wonderful Autumn day at the St John’s Rugby Festival and the crowds were treated to a fantastic display of running rugby from all 12 teams. Yet again Scots College showed their class by convincingly beating the hosts St john’s College. Klein Nederburg, St Charles and Nelspruit won their games comfortably against their opposition. Paarl Boys beat Jeppe in a tight affair which could have gone either way. The final between Paarl Roos and Waterkloof lived up to all expectations with both teams willing to express themselves by throwing the ball from end to end with Waterkloof managing to pull the win off. Match ups for Monday are well set up and we look forward to more exciting games.
