St John's Day 3 Results
St John's Easter Festival got going early on its last day, Easter Monday, with a second win for Klein Nederburg of Paarl.
Jeppe became the first side to beat Scots College of Sydney.
St John's summary: On our final day at the St John’s College Rugby Festival we once again had perfect autumn weather and our school boy rugby didn't disappoint. The willingness of the teams to throw the ball around and show their talent after three days of tough rugby was pleasing to see. The surprise of the day was the Jeppe win over Scots College from Australia, Jeppe proved to be too strong in the tight phases and too physical for the elusive Aussie boys! The Paul Roos and Nelspruit game did not live up to expectations with Paul Roos winning 15-10. The hosts had their first win of the festival against St Charles College making sure the game was won with a powerful first-half display.
Klein Nederburg with the Scots College were without a doubt the most expressive teams on display and Klein Nederburg won their final game convincingly. The final game between Paarl Boys and Pretoria Boys proved to be a one sided affair with Paarl Boys dominating the game in all phases to win with ease against an injury hit Pretoria Boys team.
The festival was once again a wonderful occasion with great crowd support and will go down as one the more successful festivals. We look forward to our 20th Anniversary Festival in 2015.
