Suko Nqawe - Captain of DHS

DHS have not overcome their local rivals Glenwood for quite some time and their captain Suko Nqawe is determined to put an end to that this weekend.

The combative hooker arrived in Durban from Port Elizabeth in Grade 10 and was appointed captain of the Under-16A team in his first year at the school, but in his three years at the school he has never beaten Glenwood so he is desperate for a big performance from his team on Saturday.

"Glenwood are always a strong all-round side but if we are aggressive and take the game to them then we could give them a serious challenge over there," he said.

The DHS skipper said that injuries to key players early in the season meant that his side battled to get momentum, but added that things are starting to click and the team is looking much-improved.

"We had a few injuries so we had to bring in a few junior players and some of the combinations didn't gel but things are starting to look much better now," he explained.

Nqawe played at the Grant Khomo week for both Eastern Province and KwaZulu-Natal, and is determined to carry on playing rugby next year, although he is not sure who he will end up playing for.
