'Tests' for Schools
SARU has announced a series of international clashes for South Africa's school boy teams in August.
Four international Under-18 teams will be coming South Africa for a series in the second half of August – England, France, Wales and Italy.
Italy will not play full internationals but against three local sides.
The other three countries will join with South Africa in a quadrangular tournament. It is the fifth such tournament.
The SA Schools team will face France in their first match of the series at the City Park Stadium in Cape Town on 15 August 2014, Wales at Outeniqua Park in George on 19 August, and England at the Paul Roos's Markötter ground in Stellenbosch on 23 August.
The Italy Under-18 team will also travel to South Africa for clashes against the Western Province and South Western Districts Craven Week teams and a SARU Academy XV respectively, which will precede the clashes between the other four Under-18 teams.
The SA Schools trials squad will be selected by the national selectors following the conclusion of the Under-18 Craven Week in Middelburg from 14 to 19 July 2014. A trial match, which will assist in finalising the 28-man SA Schools squad, will take place on 26 July at the Barnard Stadium in Kempton Park.
