The great Selborne migration

Almost the whole of Selborne College will be going to Grey High for all sorts of activities, including 19 rugby matches. There will also be a music evening, chess, debating, squash, tennis and hockey.

Of course, the 1st XV match will have pride of place, a climax to the weekend. Both teams are amongst the very best sides in South Africa this year – in fact every year. They are by some way the best teams in the Eastern Cape and this one will decide who is the king of that castle.

Season so Far

Both teams are ranked on the FNB Top 20 – Selborne eighth and Grey 13th. That is not much of a difference amongst so many top rugby schools.

Grey have played 15 matches, winning 12 and losing three.

Selborne have played 19 matches, winning 15, drawing one and losing three.

Selborne have played against eight teams who are or have been ranked in the Top 20.

Grey have played against nine teams who are or have been in the Top 20.
