Top 20 - 10 June 2008
There is a slight change at the top where we reward Paarl Gim for their massive victory over Drostdy.
Then, too, Paul Roos had another good win over ancient rivals, Glenwood went up to Balgowan and drew with Michaelhouse. Paarl Boys’ High finished well against Rondebosch.
Schools that have suffered a bit in this week’s ranking are Monument, who were beaten by Eldoraigne, Framesby, who lost to Daniël Pienaar, and Affies, who lost to their neighbours Pretoria Boys.
Those who have advanced their cause are Selborne, KES, Eldoraigne, Daniël Pienaar and Westville.
Perhaps the loudest accolade should be for Schoonspruit of Malmesbury, who have reached the Top 20 for the very first time.
We have left Noord-Kaap off this week as we have heard nothing from Kimberley for quite some time. The k is often silent – as in know, knee, Kimberley and Kroonstad.
If people would like to send us information and advice, they could send it to pauld@365digital.co.za.
