Top match in George

On Saturday, in a Mutual & Federal Premier Interschools match, Outeniqua of George will be at home to Noord-Kaap of Kimberley as a part of Outeniqua's annual rugby day.

The match will be broadcast on television.

Both of them, when complete, are top sides. This time, apart from injuries, Outeniqua will be without their SA Schools players.

Ranking

At present Outeniqua are ranked third in the FNB Top 20. Noord-Kaap have been as high as 13th but have played only one match since 11 May.

Season So Far

Both schools have played 12 matches. Outeniqua have won 11, Noord-Kaap seven with a draw.

Outeniqua have played eight matches against Top 20 sides, Noord-Kaap four.

Outeniqua, who have lost only to Paarl Gim, count Grey Bloem, EG Jansen, Paarl Boys' High and Waterkloof amongst their scalps. Noord-Kaap's best win was over Waterkloof.

They are a long way apart and so have only two opponents in common.

Dr EG Jansen: Outeniqua won 57-34; Noord-Kaap lost 36-12

Waterkloof: Outeniqua won 39-19; Noord-Kaap won 34-40
