Tough start for Muir
A dominant Queen’s College ran in 11 tries at the Graeme Rugby Day to beat Muir College 75-3. Queen’s led 40-3 at the break.
Queen’s, one of the top sides at the Rugby Day, showed off some brilliant skills while sticking to their structures and exploiting Muir’s weakness to take this resounding victory.
The Muir side tried valiantly to defend their tryline from the onslaught but Queen’s physical size was just too much for the Muir team. The Muir team would not take it lying down and played until the final whistle to make Queen’s earn their tries.
Players that stood out for the Muir side were Blake Callahan (prop), lock pairing Lutho Njobe and Thulani Njenje, flyhalf Darren Wates and fullback Umberto van Schalkwyk also had a solid game.
