Transvalia vs Garsfontein

By Online Editors
Friday 3 Aug 2018

Garsfontein go down to Vanderbijlpark on the Vaal River with its boats and big houses with lawns going down to the river, not looking anything like the heavy industries away from the banks. there the Pretorians will play against Transvalia, the surprise package of 2018.

It will, in all probability, be a tough and close encounter.

Both are relatively new to the top echelons of schoolboy rugby in south Africa but both have been successful.

Season So Far

For the very first time Transvalia are rankled in the Schools Top 20 and they have risen to sixth place, just above Paarl Boys’ High. Garsfontein are ranked 11th, just above Affies.

Garsfontein have won 14 of their 17 matches, Transvalia 11 of their 15 with one match drawn.

They met earlier in the year and then Transvalia had a massive 48-3 victory.
