Union High Rugby Festival
The 26th annual Union High School Rugby and Hockey Festival was a resounding success.
The Sports Department, along with the teaching staff did a sterling job ensuring that the programme ran smoothly. Rugby and hockey teams from various provinces were hosted at the school and a warm Karroo experience was enjoyed by all. The standard of sport on display was of a very high standard and the boys and girls all displayed sportsmanship.
Union is renowned for hospitality and the hospitality committee did an outstanding job catering for the needs of players, coaches, parents and spectators who were treated to a Cocktail Function, a steak braai and a traditional spitbraai. The school is particularly grateful to the parents of the players who made all our guests feel so very welcome.
The Union teams produced outstanding play and represented their school with pride and passion, as is the Union way. It seems that when the white jersey is worn, the boys and girls rise to any occasion.
