It's the beautiful month of May as autumn settles into winter and all of the Western Province schools are playing enthusiastic rugby.
It's a wonderful place to be – even at its worst better than anywhere else in the world, and rugby season is the best of it.
Bishops play SACS which is probably the longest-living match in South Africa. Some believe it goes back to 1863.
The top match according to current rankings is in Stellenbosch where Paul Roos, who have been improvising after a wobbly start play Paarl Gim, currently ranked top of the FNB Top 20.
