There were upsets in the Eastern Cape this weekend with Grey, Die Brandwag and Daniël Pienaar causing them. Daniël Pienaar caused their upset in Paarl. Grey College had another big win when they went down to Stellenbosch and Diamantveld won their knock-out match well as did Waterkloof in the old Transvaal. That was one of the Beeld Trofee semi-finals. There were several Interschools matches with wins for Queen’s, Hudson Park, Boland Landbou, Hoërskool Bellville, Strand, Brackenfell and Hugenote.
