Schools Results - 2 June
Boland Landbou won a Paarl derby against Paarl Boys’ High and the other big result was the Bishops win over Paul Roos in Stellenbosch. It is their second win over a top side in a fairly erratic season.
In 18 matches between the two schools only the Bishops 1st XV won. Of course, if your 1st XV wins, the whole school wins!
Riversdale met George in a big South Western Districts clash. Outeniqua scored 15 points in the last five minutes to win.
Selborne had another big win and seem a school on the rise.
The Rooibulle won the battle of the neighbouring Mpumalanga techs.
Waterkloof scored three tries to one but the boot of Louis Kruger who scored all his side’s points and in all four ways earned the Uitenhage side a draw.
Kearsney went over the mountains and won the Methodist derby against St Stithians.
Some schools did not play because of exams, some because of teachers’ dispute with government.
