Top 20 - 4 September 2007

This is the final Top 20 for 2007 after we have examined all schools, a tough task with some many top schools in South Africa. Not that it was hard to choose Grey College as the top school.

Unbeaten Grey will go down as one of the best schoolboy sides in years.

After that it was a battle as every effort was made to balance victory with the calibre of the opposition. Then, too, some schools started well and faded; others started poorly and ended strongly. A strong finish was more impressive.

Apart from the schools listed below it would have been great to find places for Dr EG Jansen of Boksburg, Daniel Pienaar of Uitenhage and Tygerberg of Parow.
