Top 20 - 5 June 2007

Some of the schools are concentrating on exams and there even are schools which are not active because the teachers are in dispute with government. But there were some big matches which have caused upheavals here and there.

Boland Landbou beat Paarl Boys’ High, which was something of a surprise. Bishops went out to Stellenbosch and beat Paul Roos, their second surprise of the year after beating Boland Landbou in Agter-Paarl earlier.

Marais Viljoen, who have not been having a sparkling season again walked the tightrope. They won by one point in successive weeks – over KES, Eldoraigne and Monnas.

Michaelhouse, HTS Middelburg and Tygerberg had big wins.

Some teams which did not play have slipped off the Top 20, not for doing anything wrong but because teams that had done well needed to be rewarded – such as Bishops, Daniel Pienaar and Selborne who have been rampant ever since Grey Bloem gave them a hiding.
