After careful scrutiny, we have produced the following list after taking into consideration results and the calibre of opposition.

This is for the whole season, not just a reaction to one week’s results.

For calibre of opposition, matches against other Top 20 teams is a good yardstick.

Here is a summary of the season’s activities of the 1st XVs of all of these outstanding schools.

The positions of the first three teams presented no difficulty. After that the debate starts and we have headaches, increasing as we go down the list.

It is true to say that just appearing on this list is a feat.
