Schools Top 20 - August 30
This week the only Top 20 teams in action were Dr EG Jansen, Garsfontein, Helpmekaar, Grey Bloem and Welkom Gim. Of the pressure group below the Top 20, Lichtenburg and SACS were in action.
These are the relevant results:
Garsfontein vs Dr EG Jansen, 32-28
Grey Bloem vs Welkom Gim, 43-42
Helpmekaar vs Lichtenburg, 55-10
SACS vs Wynberg, 31-20
The result is that we have moved up Garsfontein and Helpmekaar. Some who may drop a bit are those who did not play to make way for those who did play.
The match between Grey and Welkom Gim was a thriller. It took a try near the end by the SA Schools scrumhalf Rewan Kruger to give Grey their one-point victory.
