Schools Top 20 - May 2
We have a change right at the top after Grey Bloem's big wins – over Boland Landbou and, more to the point, Paarl Gim.
Waterkloof have benefited from their victory over Paul Roos. KES have also advanced this week, as have Grey PE and Helpmekaar while Boland Landbou and Michaelhouse have a toe on the ladder.
There may be a case where a team has slipped simply because they did not play – this is merely rewarding a team that did play.
We were asked if we took into account a school's record prior to this. The answer is No, as, with every new year, a school, unlike senior rugby teams, will start with a new team. That is the ever-changing life of a school.
The pressure group under the Top 20 is growing stronger.
