Win for St Andrew?s

Over 150 old boys were delighted to see the St Andrew’s College winning their 1st XV match 29-11 against Muir College on Saturday 2 June.

The match took place during a Reunion Weekend with old boys from California to Carlisle Bridge attending. In the first minute a great try that resulted from quick hands, straight running and good support play seemed to indicate that the St Andrew’s College 1st XV were focused.

“The second try of the match just before half-time was a crucial score that once again saw the St Andrew’s forwards and backs linking well. The half-time score was 17-0,” said Harley Searle, Master-in-Charge of Rugby. “Despite giving away a try in the first few minutes of the second half the 1st XV were able to score two more tries in the second half and also managed to bring on a few younger players and give them the opportunity to gain some experience playing at a first team level.

The end result being a 29-11 victory to St Andrew’s.”
