Zimbabwe team for Craven Week

Zimbabwe, despite the multitude of troubles in the country, are back at this year’s Craven Week with a team which has a very “private” look.

They have just two players back from last year’s in Bloemfontein – Michael Todd and Lloyd Swift.

There is a bit of a surprise that there is only one player from Prince Edward’s, for so long the powerhouse of schools rugby in Zimbabwe. Most of the players are from private schools, most notably from St John’s, comparatively young in its senior school. In fact only two of the team come from state schools.

Zimbabwe Craven Week team: James Holmes (St John’s), Richard Morgan (St John’s), Reginald Bryant (St John’s), Antonio Machado (St John’s), Michael Todd (St John’s), Kyle Jarvis (St John’s), Raymond de Jong (St John’s), David Ross-Andersen (Falcon), Johannes Rushwaya (Falcon), Rangarirai Zembe (Falcon), Jason Graham (Falcon), Ronnie Chihota (Midlands Christian College), Robert Lee-Webb (St George’s), Graham Lawler (St George’s), Lloyd Swift (Peterhouse), Gareth Loubser (Peterhouse), Danny Robertson (Peterhouse), Dante Mama (Peterhouse), Brendon Chapman (Peterhouse), Tafadzwa Seremani (Prince Edward), Andrea Blagojevic (Christian Brothers), Khulani Nkala (Milton)
