ABs must keep their discipline

Steve Hansen fears the Todeschini treatment

All Blacks assistant coach Steve Hansen has told his team that they must keep their discipline at all times, after witnessing videos of Federico Todeschini's punishing boot against Wales.

Todeschini landed 11 out of 12 shots at goal, contributing 30 points to the 45-27 defeat of Wales on Saturday, in front of a watching All Blacks starting XV for the weekend's match.

"It's not an open game that they (Pumas) play and I think you can get frustrated," said Hansen to the NZPA.

"We've just got to discipline ourselves to be sharp of mind, do the basics well and not get frustrated through interpretations from referees or frustrating acts from the opposition."

While the first Test was no real indicator of the Pumas' strengths, the second will have provided the New Zealand coaching staff with plenty of pointers ahead of a tough-looking match for the world's number one team.

"It [the first Test] was a pretty ugly sort of a game of rugby. I don't think we'll get a lot out of that one," continued Hansen.

"They're Latin Americans and they get a lot of that passionate approach from their soccer mentality.

"They enjoy the atmosphere of playing in front of their home crowd and they get right behind them.

"I think they grow another leg."

Graham Henry named the full squad of 26 for the match on Sunday, taking eleven players from the 22 that defeated Ireland along as bench options.

But this team is not thought to be a pointer for the squad of 30 due to be named for the Tri-Nations opener in Christchurch on July 8.
