Bath and Falcons make the grade

Two tries from Mike Stephenson and the trusty kicking of Olly Barkley, who also touched down, ensured Bath topped European Challenge Cup Pool Four with an emphatic 42-17 win over Montpellier.
The home side led 21-3 at half-time and never looked in danger as they booked their place in the competition's quarter-finals.
Bath's other tries came from Michael Lipman, Nick Walshe, Shaun Berne and Barkley who also kicked six conversions.
The French side replied with tries from Olivier Sarrama and David Vaudaine as David Aucagne added the extras to both touchdowns and Francois Trinh Duc kicked a penalty. Bath now host Bristol in the quarter-final.
Harlequins failed to make the quarter-finals even though they won 26-10 at home to over Connacht to confirm their runners-up spot behind Bath.
Newcastle progressed after finishing on the same points as Harlequins because they had scored more tries than their Guinness Premiership rivals, but must now travel to Top 14 title contenders Clermont Auvergne.
Chris Hala'Ufia, Stuart Abbott, Hal Luscombe and Mike Brown scored the Harlequins tries and Adrian Jarvis added three conversions.
Connacht's try came from Conor O'Loughlin, with Peter Durcan converting and Mark McHugh kicking a penalty.
Ollie Phillips scored two touchdowns and Toby Flood also had a try and five conversions as Newcastle recorded an emphatic 50-6 win over Petrarca in Padova to make the quarter-finals.
All the home side had to show for their efforts were two penalties from Nick Little and Giacomo Preo.
Newcastle, who lead 31-3 at half-time, also had tries from Andy Long, Jason Oakes, Jamie Noon, Anthony Elliott and Loki Crichton.
Worcester came out 19-16 winners away to Viadana in Pool Five to finish runners-up but miss out on the quarter-finals.
The Warriors led 14-5 at half-time but held on as Thinus Delport (2) and Aisea Havili got the tries, Simon Whatling converting both.
The Viadana tries came from Hayden Pedersen and Kaine Robertson and Calvin Howarth kicked two penalties.
Pool Five leaders Clermont Auvergne signed off the group stage in emphatic style with a 45-3 home win over bottom side Albi.
Vilimoni Delasau touched down three times for the home side and Alexandre Peclier kicked six conversions and a penalty.
Pool Three leaders Brive won 15-6 at home to Montbaun to secure their spot in the quarter-finals; they now travel to Wales to face the Dragons, while Saracens host Glasgow in the other tie.
