Boks bolster Bulls for Munster clash

TEAM ANNOUNCEMENT: Bulls Director of Rugby Jake White has named a powerful matchday squad for Saturday’s United Rugby Championship clash against Munster in Pretoria.


It’s a new-look matchday squad from the one that faced Northampton Saints in the Champions Cup quarterfinals.

The backline sees the return of a number of Springboks.

Willie le Roux is back in the No.15 jersey and he is joined in the back three by Kurt-Lee Arendse and Sebastian de Klerk.

The midfield consists of Canan Moodie at No.13 and David Kriel at inside centre.

Johan Goosen will control things from the flyhalf position and his halfback partner will be Embrose Papier.


It’s a new-look back row as well with Elrigh Louw leading the team from the No.8 position with Cameron Hanekom moving to the No.6 jersey.

Reinhardt Ludwig will wear the No.7 jersey.

Ruan Vermaak comes in to partner JF van Heerden in the second row while Wilco Louw, Johan Grobbelaar and Gerhard Steenekamp will pack down in the front row.
