Showed his class and had a good performance. He took control of the match. His combination with Farrell worked well as they swapped the pivot position a few times.

9 Conor Murray:

Consistently shows how good he is. Scored the 68th minute try that might have changed the outcome of the game.

7/10

6 Sam Warburton:

Good defensive work by the captain and he somehow managed to get his players back together in the final quarter of the game.

6/10

5 Alun Wyn Jones:

A strong performance by the Welshman. He worked hard off the ball.

7/10

4 Maro Itoje:

Excellent performance by the big man. He was all over the place and never stopped working – relentless in his ways. The only criticism one could have is the fact that he lurked on the offside line and got caught out a few times.

8/10

3 Tadhg Furlong:

Strong performance and good carries early on. Scrums were contested evenly.

7/10

2 Jamie George:

Solid performance by the hooker. He found his men at the line-out and had a few good carries. His run in the 68th minute set up Murray's try.

Worked hard but he was a bit of a penalty magnet. But very good work rate nonetheless.
