Player Ratings: Lucky?

The Lions almost handed the game to the All Blacks after being penalised for offside in the 79th minute, which would have given Beauden Barrett the opportunity to win the series for the All Blacks.

However, referee Romain Poite changed his mind, which has probably made him enemy number one right across New Zealand.

Warren Fortune rates the British and Irish Lions players:

15 Liam Williams:

He made a few errors under the high ball, but he was still a constant threat with ball in hand out wide.

6/10

14 Anthony Watson:

It was a solid performance by the wing. He beat a few defenders and got his team out of trouble when they were under pressure.

7/10

13 Jonathan Davies:

The Welshman has a few good runs, but it was not his best day on defence.

6/10

12 Owen Farrell:

The playmaker struggled on defence. He missed quite a few tackles when New Zealand's big men ran at him. However, his goal-kicking saved the series for his team.

7/10

11 Elliot Daly:

He definitely looked good in the opening quarter, but there were a few blemishes, particularly in the play that led to Ngani Laumape's try.

6/10

10 Johnny Sexton:

He did well to draw defenders before putting teammates into a bit of space outside him. He also carried on playing although he looked like he was carrying an injury.

7/10

9 Conor Murray:

His kicking game was magnificent throughout the 80 minutes and it got his team out of trouble on numerous occasions.

8/10

8 Taulupe Faletau:

He was a marked man in this Test, but he was still a tough customer in the physical exchanges.

6/10

7 Sean O'Brien:

He was not his normal barnstorming self. He eventually got replaced at half-time with what looked like a shoulder injury.

4/10

6 Sam Warburton:

He did not have many opportunities with ball in hand, but he was effective in disrupting the All Blacks' ball at times.

7/10

5 Alun Wyn Jones:

He made more tackles than any other player in his team, but was unable to get good ball at the line-out due to his hooker's performance.

6/10

4 Maro Itoje:

It was another outstanding display by the young man. His aggression with ball in hand and on defence put his team on the from foot on numerous occasions.

8/10

3 Tadhg Furlong:

He was solid in the scrums and he had a few strong carries as well.

6/10

2 Jamie George:

His line-out throwing was not up to standard and his inability to get an early hook put the Lions under pressure at scrum time.

4/10

1 Mako Vunipola:

He did not give any penalties away this week and his work rate in this match is something he can be proud of.

6/10

Replacements:

16 Ken Owens (On for George, 70th min):

Not enough time to be rated.

17 Jack McGrath (On for Vunipola, 60th min):

A solid performance in the set piece and a few good hits on defence.

5/10

18 Kyle Sinckler (On for Furlong, 60th min):

Gave away a costly scrum penalty right in front of his own polls. But he did make up for it a bit in open play.

5/10

19 Courtney Lawes (On for Jones, 50th min):

He did not make much of an impact while he was on the field.

4/10

20 Christiaan Stander (On for O'Brien, 40th min):

He definitely struggled to impose himself on the game in the second half.

4/10

21 Rhys Webb (On for Murray, 70th min):

Not enough time to be rated

22 Ben Te'o (On for Sexton 73rd, min):

Not enough time to be rated.

23 Jack Nowell (On for Watson, 73rd min):

Not enough time to be rated.
