Cheetahs confirm new signings ahead of Currie Cup season
SPOTLIGHT: The Cheetahs announced several additions to their player roster ahead of the 2026 Currie Cup season.
The latest signings combine proven experience, emerging talent, and long-term investment in the future of the Cheetahs, as they continue to build a competitive environment across both the senior and junior structures.

Leading the list of new arrivals on Wednesday, July 1, is Springbok scrumhalf Faf de Klerk, who joins the Cheetahs from the Yokohama Eagles in Japan.
De Klerk brings a wealth of international experience and an invaluable presence to the squad.
Outside back Henry Immelman arrives from the Bulls, whilst the Cheetahs have also secured the services of loose forward Simon Muller from Japan’s BlueRevs.
Another addition to the loose-forward stocks is Siya Ningiza, who joins from English club Ealing Trailfinders.
Centre Kobus Janse van Rensburg will join the Cheetahs in January 2027 from Tuks after helping the University side win a record sixth Varsity Cup title earlier this season.
