Brad gets top job at Sharks
Brad Macleod-Henderson will coach the Sharks in the Currie Cup competition this year.
The Sharks confirmed the appointment of Macleod-Henderson as the head coach, with Sean Everitt and Paul Anthony as his assistants.
This decision, taken by Director of Rugby Jake White, comes at a time when the Sharks start their Australasian tour as the top team in Super Rugby – despite last Friday's loss to the Highlanders.
White said he wanted to "take a step back" from coaching the senior side and allow for progression and evolution amongst a young vibrant coaching staff at the Sharks.
During this period White will mentor the future of the Sharks by spending most of his time with both the Under-19 and Under-21 teams.
The Sharks also confirmed the coaching line-ups of both junior teams – with Deon Kayser as head coach of the U21 side – to be assisted by Albert van den Berg.
Both of these Springboks currently coach our Sharks XV Vodacom Cup side.
The U19 coaching team will be headed by James Fleming and he will be assisted by both Butch James and Ryan Strudwick.
This young coaching team will have a very exciting squad to work with and with White at their side they will learn a great deal this year.
