The 15-37 loss to Griquas this pasty weekend proved to be costly, with four new injury concerns.

Prop Simphiwe Matanzima left the field with an injured knee and did not return to the field in the second half.

He will undergo scans and is expected to be sidelined for at least four weeks.

Flanks Marco van Staden and Ruan Steenkamp both suffered concussion and have started their return to play protocols.

A call on their availability will be made later this week.

Wing Rosko Specman complained of a stiff groin after the match and sat out Monday’s training.
