Captain fantastic back for Lions
The Lions have been bolstered by the return of Springbok Warren Whiteley as Johan Ackermann looks to solidify his loose trio when they take on the Free State Cheetahs at Ellis Park this Saturday.
Derrick Minnie will join Whiteley in the loose trio on the flank with the No.8 taking back the captaincy from stand-in Lionel Mapoe.
As a result of these changes, Warwick Tecklenburg and Willie Britz will shift to the bench to provide cover.
Meanwhile, in the backline, Howard Mnisi will get a start at inside centre due to the injury to Nicolaas Hanekom.
Harold Vorster will provide centre cover off the bench.
