Double fullback blow for Bulls

The Blue Bulls have suffered a major set back with two fullbacks, Jesse Kriel and Jurgen Visser set to miss the clash against the Lions in Pretoria.

Visser, in fact, will miss the rest of the season because of a foot injury and will be out of action for four months, whilst Kriel injured an ankle and will be out of two weeks.

Kriel's injury was picked up against Western Province on Saturday and the match also claimed prop Hencus van Wyk, who will spend two weeks on the touchlines.

Jacques du Plessis, who injured his quad and Grant Hattingh, whose ankle is a little bruised will sit out training on Monday, are expected to train for the rest of the week.

Tony Jantjies (concussion) and Jacques-Louis Potgieter (ribs/tonsilitis) have made a full recovery and will train on Monday.

Visser joins Pierre Spies, Arno Botha, Firk Kirsten, Jaco Visagie and Flip van der Merwe on the long term injury list.

Morné Mellett (knee) will be out for another two to three weeks.
