Drotské heading abroad... to learn
The Free State Cheetahs have made the decision that Naka Drotské will travel to the United Kingdom to further his coaching knowledge.
Rory Duncan will take over as head coach from Drotské for the 2014 Currie Cup campaign.
The Cheetahs executive committee decided to give Drotské the opportunity to prepare for the Super Rugby competition in 2015.
By doing so he will visit the United Kingdom during this period to investigate the best possible coaching structures and other rugby matters.
Naka Drotské will also in the coming months focus on agreements with various overseas clubs in conjunction with our sponsors.
These deals are already in progress. He will also oversee projects with Uganda as well as look into the contracts and contracting model of the Free State Cheetahs.
This taken into consideration the Executive decided to free Drotske up from his role as head coach for the Currie Cup 2014 to focus on these important projects.
The decision was made to appoint Duncan to replace Drotské, with his assistants being Franco Smith and Os du Randt.
Duncan’s position as Head Coach of the Cheetah U21 side will be filled by MJ Smith.
