Griquas change it up for Lions
TEAM ANNOUNCEMENT: Griquas coach Brent Janse van Rensburg made three changes to his team to tackle the Lions in a Currie Cup semifinal at Ellis Park on Saturday.
Just a day after announcing his departure from the Kimberley-based outfit, Janse van Rensburg named a team that sees Christiaan Meyer start at scrumhalf for the first time this year.
Meyer replaces Chriswill September, who drops down to the replacement bench in the only backline change.
Khwezi Mona returns at loosehead prop, after missing last week’s heartbreaking one-point loss in Kimberley through injury.
He starts ahead of Nqobisizwe Mxoli, who also drops down to the bench.
The final change is at No.8, where Zandre Jordaan starts ahead of Niell Jordaan, who also drops down to the bench.
