Griquas 'tweak' their winning formula
TEAM ANNOUNCEMENT: The high-flying Griquas team has made some adjustments to their backline ahead of the Round Eight Currie Cup showdown with the Lions.
Griquas – third on the standings after back-to-back wins over Western Province, the Lions and Sharks – host the Lions in the opening match of Round Eight, in Kimberley on Friday.
The team shows three changes from the side that recorded an impressive 37-27 win over Sharks in Durban last Saturday.
All the changes are in the backline.
Ederies Arendse comes in on the right wing in place of Daniel Kasende.
In the midfield, the new centre pairing is Michal Haznar and Andre Swarts, with Jay-Cee Nel and Johnathan Francke dropping out of the matchday squad.
The forwards are unchanged from last week.
Griquas beat the Lions 41-31 at Ellis Park a fortnight ago.
