Kings lose skipper Watson
The Eastern Province Kings' prospected of ending their Currie Cup losing streak was dealt another cruel blow on Monday.
It was revealed that skipper Luke Watson is expected to be out for the next four weeks.
The veteran loose forwards suffered concussion in his team's 25-30 Round Three loss to the Blue Bulls at Loftus Versfeld this past weekend.
The Kings, who marked their return to South Africa's premier domestic competition with a 16-35 home loss to Western Province in Round One, were hoping to take revenge for the crushing 19-60 loss they suffered against the Golden Lions in Round Two.
They will welcome the Lions to Port Elizabeth this week, but the growing injury list is threatening to rob them of a number of key players.
The other concerns are flyhalf Gary van Aswegen and centre Tim Whitehead.
Both are being monitored after sustaining knocks to their knees during the game in Pretoria.
