Lions reveal team for semifinal against Griquas
TEAM ANNOUNCEMENT: Golden Lions head coach Ivan van Rooyen has revealed an unchanged team to face Griquas in their Currie Cup semifinal in Johannesburg.
The Lions booked their home semifinal after a nail-biting 27-26 win over Griquas in the final round of the league phase in Kimberley last weekend and Van Rooyen has backed the same team to come up with the goods this Saturday.
A win last weekend would have secured Griquas first place in the standings, but they ended up third with their final tally reading four wins and two losses from their six games.
The Lions finished second on the log after picking up one more bonus point than the Kimberley side during the league phase.
*Meanwhile, The Lions Rugby Company announced that youngsters Len Massyn and Pikkie de Villiers have both put pen to paper for another year with the Joburg team.
