Lions tweak team for Cheetahs clash
TEAM ANNOUNCEMENT: The Golden Lions have revealed their team to face the Free State Cheetahs in a Currie Cup Round Four clash in Bloemfontein on Friday.
There is only one change to the starting team that beat Western Province with Wilhelm van der Sluys coming into the second row for Marvin Orie, who has joined the Springbok squad in New Zealand.
Meanwhile, Rhyno Herbst joins the bench to cover lock. Jan-Henning Campher also comes into the matchday 23 as a replacement hooker.
Both teams are unbeaten heading into Friday’s fixture with two wins from two games.
The Cheetahs sit on top of the standings with a maximum of 10 points from their two games, while the Lions have nine points and are in third.
The Lions are coming off a 30-28 win over Western Province in Cape Town, while the Cheetahs destroyed Griquas 68-14 in Bloemfontein.
