New-look Lions for Newlands
Golden Lions head coach Johan Ackermann has made a number of changes to the side to face Western Province at Newlands on Saturday.
The majority of the changes are in the backline, with a few key players such as Lionel Mapoe and Michael Bondesio returning from injury.
Bondesio will start at scrumhalf and will partner flyhalf Marnitz Boshoff who takes the place of the injured Elton Jantjies.
Lionel Cronje and Mapoe will pair up in the midfield whilst Chrysander Botha also returns from injury and will start at wing, with Andries Coetzee shifting to fullback.
In the forwards, Willie Britz has been promoted off the bench and takes his place at lock, with Hugo Kloppers and Kobus de Kock coming onto the bench.
