One month to go for Goosen

Cheetahs flyhalf Johan Goosen is expected to make his return from injury in the Cheetahs' Currie Cup clash with the Sharks in Durban next month.

The talented 20-year-old playmaker made a huge impression for the Bloemfontein side at Super Rugby level this year before his season was cut short by a shoulder injury.

Goosen injured himself in the act of scoring an amazing try against the Highlanders at the Free State Stadium, and as a result missed the rest of their campaign along with the Baby Boks' Junior World Championship victory in June.

The Cheetahs struggled to replace the wounded pivot as Sias Ebersohn and Riaan Smit took over duties at flyhalf with varying levels of success, so his return for the match on September 1 in time for the bulk of their Currie Cup campaign will be eagerly awaited in Bloemfontein.
