Pollard back with the Bulls
Flyhalf Handré Pollard is one of the South African heroes of the weekend's win over New Zealand that will return to Currie Cup duty.
Contracted Springboks will not be available for the final round of pool matches as well as the Currie Cup play-off rounds.
However, Pollard – who also captained SA Under-20 at the IRB junior world championship earlier this year – is not a contracted Bok … yet.
Pollard will join the Blue Bulls in preparation for their decisive Currie Cup encounter with Griquas at Loftus Versfeld on Saturday.
The 20-year-old flyhalf, who is struggling with a soft tissue foot injury, will only join the Bulls at training on Tuesday.
However, he is certainly available for selection ahead of the Round 10 encounter with Griquas.
Jacques-Louis Potgieter will also rejoin the team's training session on Tuesday, as he works to overcome the bruised muscle injury – sustained in the win over the Pumas at the weekend.
Rudy Paige (hip flexor muscle), Dean Greyling (calf), Jono Ross (ankle), Callie Visagie (back muscle) and Deon Stegmann (contusion) also sat out Monday's session, team doctor Org Strauss confirmed.
All of these players will be back on the field Tuesday and available for selection.
Jurgen Visser (foot), Pierre Spies (bicep), Arno Botha (knee), Frik Kirsten (neck), Jaco Visagie (knee), Flip van der Merwe (knee) and Hencus van Wyk (leg) are still on the long-term injury list and out for the season.
