Pumas change up the loose trio

Pumas' coach Jimmy Stonehouse made two injury enforced changes to the starting team to take on the Eastern Province Kings in the Currie Cup in Port Elizabeth on Friday.

Flank Brian Shabangu and No.8 RW Kember have replaced Jaco Bouwer who is sidelined by a back injury and Renaldo Bothma respectively (broken cheek bone).

Shabangu will be making his first appearance for the Pumas with the lively flank already having captained a South African Emerging Sevens team in the Safaricom Sevens tournament in 2011.

The former Glenwood pupil also represented NMMU in 2013 after a stint with the Border Bulldogs in the First Division in 2012 instantly becoming a regular in the senior side.

He made his debut for the Bulldogs in the first game of the season against the SWD Eagles and played in all fourteen games of the season, starting thirteen of them.

The Pumas still have a mathematical chance of making the semifinal, but will have to beat the Kings first and then hope for some favours from a number of the other teams.
