Reinach 'rotated' at scrumhalf
The Sharks team shows a number of changes ahead of their Currie Cup Round Four encounter with the Blue Bulls in Durban on Saturday.
The changes are mostly down as part of the team's "rotation policy".
Top of the list is Cobus Reinach – who played off the bench in the first three weeks – named to make his first start of the season at scrumhalf, with his halfback partner being rookie flyhalf Fred Zeilinga.
Odwa Ndungane has overcome his hamstring strain and has been named on the wing, with SP Marais retaining his place at fullback.
Changes up front will see Peet Marais get an opportunity in the second row, with Craig Burden named at hooker in a straight swap with Kyle Cooper.
Terra Mtembu took a knock in the Free State game and Justin Downey, recruited from Griquas, will take his place on the bench.
Charl McLeod will play in his 50th Currie Cup match for the Sharks if he comes off the bench.
"There are tough selection quandaries," Sharks forwards coach Brad Macleod-Henderson said.
"You want to give guys chances but you also don't want to break momentum.
"You have to get the balance right and if you get the result, then you probably did get it right."
