Sharks get Kings' defence

The Sharks have gained the services of departing Kings defence coach Michael Horak who terminated his contract in Port Elizabeth

“Michael Horak was released from his contract, and has taken up the position as defensive coach at the Sharks," Eastern Province CEO, Charl Crous confirmed

“We wish him everything of the best,” he said.

Horak had originally signed with the Kings on a five year contract.

Before signing with the Kings, Horak was the Free State Cheetahs defense coach since 2010 and also held the position of head of the Cheetahs academy.

At the end of 2012, Horak took over as director of rugby and head coach of the University of the Free State’s Varsity Cup side, the Shimlas.

The Sharks continue to add to their roster which is now up to six senior coaches.

Brad Mcleod-Henderson and his two Currie Cup assistants, Paul Anthony and Sean Everitt, will assist Director of Rugby Gary Gold alongside technical director, Brendan Venter.
