Sharks sign experienced flyhalf
TRANSFER NEWS: The fans have been asking for it and the Sharks have done it.
The Durban-based team bolstered their flyhalf stocks with an experienced campaigner.
On Monday, the team revealed that Lionel Cronje will return to Durban on a two-year deal.
The 32-year-old played for the Sharks on loan from Japanese side Toyota Verblitz in 2021. He also featured for the Durban side between 2014 and 2015.
He has also previously played for the Stormers, Bulls, Brumbies, Lions and the Southern Kings.

Meanwhile, it was also revealed that scrumhalf Grant Williams will stay with the Sharks for another two years.
The Sharks have been busy in the transfer market over the last month.
Last week they announced that Lions stars Carlu Sadie (two-year contract) and Vincent Tshituka (three-year contract) will be heading to Durban.
Before that, they revealed that Springbok centre Rohan Janse van Rensburg will be joining them from the Sale Sharks.
They also lured Maties star Nevaldo Fleurs to Durban. Fleurs was the top point scorer during the Varsity Cup 2022 season.
Earlier this year in February, the Sharks dominated headlines when they announced that Springbok superstar Eben Etzbeth will be joining them as well.
Etzebeth currently plays for Toulon in France.
The Sharks also announced that locks Reniel Hugo and Emile van Heerden (2025), fullback Anthony Volmink (2024) and prop Dian Bleuler (2024) have all committed to new deals.
