Van Aswegen ready to return
Gary van Aswegen has been declared fit after missing the last two games for the Eastern Province Kings.
However, the good news is short lived in terms of selection.
The Kings coaches will have their work cut out for them as they ponder their team selection this week ahead of the clash against the Blue Bulls.
However, along with van Aswegen, Charl du Plessis, who has been out with a rib injury, has been declared fit for selection.
Both Siyanda Grey and Thembelani Bholi are currently struggling with chest infections and will most likely not be eligible to play on Friday, although they will be re-evaluated by the medical team on Wednesday.
Steven Sykes was also rested on Monday as he was battling with a chest infection, but is still available for selection.
Junior Springbok Aidon Davis twisted his knee during training. The medical team will evaluate him on Tuesday to determine the extent of his injury.
Paul Schoeman and Tom Botha were both being rested after an intensive game against Western Province, but will be available to play against the Bulls.
Shaun McDonald, who sustained a cut above the eye on Friday, has been declared fit for the upcoming game.
