VIDEO: Cheetahs lose speedster to URC side
TRANSFER NEWS: Welsh region Ospreys confirmed that wing Daniel Kasende would be joining the team on a permanent deal from the Cheetahs in October 2024.
Kasende had a stint at the Ospreys last season, with the fans quickly adopting his ‘Postman’ nickname, coined from his ability to deliver when it matters.
Born in the Democratic Republic of Congo, Kasende played his first game for the Cheetahs against Western Province in 2021.
He was also part of the Cheetahs side that won the Currie Cup in 2023.
An explosive wing, Kasende has the burners to punish opposition defences.
“The postman has to deliver! I can’t wait to be back.
I’m going to try my best on and off the field to make sure that I put the jersey in a better place.”We can’t wait to see Dan Kasende back in action in the 24/25 season 😍

“I’m excited to be re-joining the Ospreys. Even from the brief time I spent at the team, it was easy to see that there’s a great set-up there, with quality coaches and players,” said Kasende.
“I really enjoyed my time with the last season and I’m looking forward to joining up with the boys again and pushing on this season.”
Ospreys head coach Toby Booth added: “Dan made a really good impression on the coaching staff when he came in on loan from the Cheetahs last season.
“He’s an exciting player that has the ability to get fans off their seats.
“Dan integrated seamlessly into the squad last time he was here and offers us some quality depth on the wing.”
