Wasps out to sting Sarries

The Coventry side are seeking a first final appearance since winning the European Cup in 2007, but Premiership rivals Saracens stand in their way. Mark McCall's men have reached the semifinals in each of the last four seasons, and will be desperate to claim victory at the Madjeski Stadium on Saturday, to book a place in the Lyon Final next month.

But Young reckons his side will cause Sarries problems if they can find their attacking rhythm in Reading.

"It's a big game against Saracens this weekend, but one we won't have to talk up too much," said Young. "There will be no lack of motivation, everyone's excited and the boys have worked their socks off to get to the semifinals. It's our first one for a long time, and we're determined to enjoy it and we will enjoy it most if we get the win. We have a big obstacle to climb against Sarries, we know how good they are and we know we have to be at our best.

"Saracens have shown they can adapt and play different styles, we want to play with the ball in hand and get go forward with as many phases as possible. We are very respectful of what Sarries will bring, they will test us in every aspect. But it's more important we get our game going and carries over the gain-line to get quick ball. If we get that, I believe we have the players to cause teams problems."

Wasps dramatically sealed a place in the last-four with Jimmy Gopperth's match-winning conversion to down Exeter Chiefs 25-24. Saracens also had to come from behind in heir victory over Northampton Saints. And Young is expecting a feast of rugby this weekend.

"There is a reason why we're in the semifinal – we've played well and we've addressed big games accordingly.

"We have to play at the level we've played at for most of the season. I'm sure Sarries will push us to another level, if we get the result, we will have to push it to another gear. It's certainly a level up in these games," Young added.
