Champions Cup quarterfinals confirmed
IN THE SPOTLIGHT: After the compelling pool stage, the European Champions Cup quarterfinal fixtures have been confirmed.
Defending champions Leinster’s 37-19 win over Wasps at the Rico Arena Stadium made sure their end in the top spot in Pool 1.
The win means Leinster have a home Champions Cup quarter-final tie with Irish counterparts Ulster.
While Toulouse’s 20-17 win at home to Bath ensured they advance as the seventh-ranked side and face a trip to Top 14 rivals Racing 92.
Flyhalf Joey Carbery kicked all nine points in Munster’s compelling victory over Exeter Chiefs to send the Limerick-based club into the Champions Cup quarterfinals for the 18th time.
Munster will now have to travel to Scotland to face Edinburgh at the BT Murrayfield.
And Saracens will face Glasgow Warriors at the Allianz Park.
